Statement of Faith

In matters of doctrine and belief, Victory In Living Ministries, Inc. strives for three things: in the essential matters, unity; in nonessential matters, liberty; in all things, charity.

Essentials We Believe.
The whole Bible is the Word of God to man. The Bible is God’s inerrant Word to us, as originally given by God through human authors under the supernatural guide of the Holy Spirit (Ghost), and is absolutely true and trustworthy It is the infallible Word of faith and conduct; containing God’s will and purpose for all mankind. It is our only standard of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; Psalm 119).

In One True God.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed "I AM". He is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, and is revealed to us as the Godhead existent in the co-equal, co-eternal, and co-substantial persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Ephesians 1:3-6, 13-14; Ephesians 4:6; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19).

That Man is a Triune Being; Spirit, Soul and Body.
We are a spirit, we have a soul and live in a body. The spirit is what is born again at the new birth, the soul is where the mind, will and emotions are, and the body is our “earth suit”. (Genesis 1:26; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Ephesians 3:16; Romans 7:21- 25; 1 Peter 2:11; James 1:21; James 2:26; 1 Corinthians 15:35-49).

The Lord Jesus Christ, is the Only Begotten Son of God.
He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, died, was buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right of God, making intercession for the saints. He is true God and true man. (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9- 10; Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:11; Isaiah 1:14; Acts 2:22-25; Acts 4:8-12; Acts 10:40; Luke 24:46-47; John 20:1-9; Isaiah 53: Mark 154:43-46; Mark 16:2-7; Luke 9:22; Luke 23:46; Psalms 68:18; Ephesians 4:8-10; Ephesians 1:20; Hebrews 1:3; Hebrews 8:1; Hebrews 9:12; Acts 2:33-34; Romans 8:34; Colossians 3:11; Romans 8:27; Hebrews 7:25).

Man, His Fall and Redemption.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins. This is the personal salvation believers receive through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

Repentance is commanded of God and necessary for forgiveness of sins. (Luke 5:32; 1 John 1:9-10; 2 Peter 3:9; Ephesians 2:8).
Personal salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. (Heb 9:15- 23; Heb 13:21)
Justification, regeneration, and the new birth are by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:24; Romans 5:9; Titus 3:5-7).

Baptism in the Holy Ghost.

In the baptism of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart an distinct from the new birth. (Acts 8:12-17; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:14-16; Acts 15:7-9).
All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. ( John 14:26; Luke 24:49; Act 1:4; Act 1:8)
In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:4)
Enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. (1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Romans 15:12; Romans 14:17; Galatians 5:22; Ephesians 5:18-19).

In Sanctification Subsequent to the New Birth. We are sanctified through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word and by the Holy Ghost. It is a daily working of grace that keeps us in personal holiness, purity of heart and life; as we continually draw closer to God and become more Christ like. (Romans 12:1-2; Titus 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 6:13; Romans 8:1,2,13; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 2:12-13; 1 Peter 1:5)

In Water Baptism by Immersion. All who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. In doing so, this is an outward sign to the world that when dead with Christ we have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:14; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4).

In the Lord’s Supper (Communion) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s saving work done for us on the cross. His body being broken, bruised and stricken for our complete healing. His blood being shed for our sins. Communion is a tangible reminder of Christ’s completed work on the cross. We are to rejoice, knowing that we have been freed from the curse of the law and are no longer in bondage to poverty, sickness or (spiritual) death. As oft as we take Communion, we do it in remembrance of Him. (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:14-23; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; 1 Corinthians 10:15-17; 2 Peter 1:4; Acts 20:7,11: John 6:53-54).

In Divine Healing, Through Faith in the Name of Jesus Christ. Healing is included in the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross.. Healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration or deliverance. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Psalms 103:3; Matthew 8:16-18; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24; 3 John 1:2; James 5:14-16; Matthew 16:18).

In Tithing and giving. (Genesis 14:18-20; 28:20-22; Malachi 3:10; Luke 11:42 ; 1 Corinthians 16:2 ; 2 Corinthians 9:6-9 ; Hebrews 7:1-21).
In the Premillennial Second Coming of Jesus.

To resurrect the righteous dead and catch away the living saints to Him in the air. (1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1)
To reign on the earth a thousand years. The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of Israel, and the Millennial reign of Christ on earth is the Scriptural promise. (Titus 1:2; Titus 3:7; Acts 24:15; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 Corinthians 15:12-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; 1 Corinthians 15:52; 2 Thessalonians 2:1) Zechariah 14:4; 2 Thessalonians 1:710; Jude 14, 15; Revelation 5:10; 19:11-21; 20:4-6).

In the Resurrection. First, the righteous unto eternal life and second, the ungodly unto eternal damnation (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28,29; Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15).

In a Final Judgment. The wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matthew 25:26; Mark 9:43-48; Revelations 19:20; Revelations 20:11-15; Revelations 21:8).

In Eternal life for the righteous. (Matthew 25:46; Luke 18:30; John 10:28; Romans 6:22; 1 John 5:11-13).

In Eternal punishment for the wicked. No liberation nor annihilation. (Matthew 25:41-46; Mark 3:29; 2 Thessalonians 1: 8, 9; Revelation 20:10-15; 21:8).

In the New Heaven and the New Earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelations 21; Revelations 22)

In the Work of the Ministry: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. That every believer is to be fitly joined in the Body using their unique gifts and callings. (Ephesians 4:7-16; Ephesians 2:20; Ephesians 3:5; Romans 10:14-15; 1 Corinthians 12:28; 2 Timothy 4:5; Matthew 28:20; Acts 13:1; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Peter 5:1-3; Romans 11:29; 2 Timothy 1:6; John 14:12; Mark 16:15-20; Romans 15:18-19; Hebrews 2:4).
